Ane Marie
Michael Edward Kline was born in Mt. Clemens in McComb County, Michigan, in the United States on June 25th, 1947.
With a father in the US Air Force his family moved many times – Utah, Arkansas, Indiana, California, and Okinawa, Japan. His father got out of the Air Force in 1962 and the family moved back to Utah.
Mike graduated from Granger high school in Utah in 1965 and then, at nineteen, served a two and a half year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Taiwan and Hong Kong, returning in 1969. He married Christine K. Boothe in December of 1969.
Graduating from Brigham Young University in 1971 with a B.A. in Political Science and an A.A in Chinese and an A.A. Business, Mike joined the Air Force in 1974. After he was commissioned he became a Navigator/Bombardier on B-52 Bombers.
